What does it prove?
My loneliness?
What does it prove?
My desperation?
What does it prove?
How weak I truly am?
What does it prove?
How vain and vile I truly am?
What does it prove?
My emptiness?
What does it prove?
My heartlessness?
What does it prove?
Others perceptions are misplaced?
What does it prove?
Smiles hide more sinister things?
What does it prove?

About the blog

Peace in a Crack Den was created to provide my poetry with a place to call its own outside of Bebo, where it had been going for the previous four or so years.

Bebo, of course, has since died a tragic - though not unexpected - social networking death. Some day, all of the poems which appeared on Bebo will feature here. It is a time consuming process, but it will get done (even if it takes years).

I hope anybody who decides to read these poems enjoys them. Critical feedback is the aim of the game, so criticise away. There's a lot of dross, but I feel like there are some gems in there too.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to come visit.

UPDATE:

It has taken years, but all of the poems which were originally published on Bebo are now live on this blog; in total, there are 620 poems published on Peace in a Crack Den (go to Poetry A-Z for a complete list).

Given that the last poem was written in 2012, the chances of new content are slim to none; anything written since has been for a private audience. Hopefully you can enjoy what's in place anyway.
